This privacy policy describes how Ronnie Eichler (“I”, “me”) handles information on this website and through apps that I create.

Website

This is a personal website. I do not knowingly collect personal information from visitors. The site may use basic server logs that record IP addresses and page requests, which is standard for web hosting. I do not use analytics or tracking cookies.

App — Bike Ride Notifications

Information Collected

• Phone numbers: Provided by me to send ride notifications to friends and family.

How Information Is Used

Phone numbers are used solely to send SMS notifications when a bike ride starts or ends. These notifications include a link to a third-party tracking service where recipients can view the rider’s location.

Third-Party Services

• SMS messages are delivered through Twilio, which processes phone numbers as necessary to deliver messages.
• Ride tracking links point to Hammerhead, which has its own privacy policy governing location data and map usage.

SMS Messaging

• Recipients receive 2-4 SMS messages per bike ride (start and stop notifications).
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time.
• Reply HELP for support information.

Data Retention

Phone numbers are retained as long as a recipient remains an active contact in the App. Recipients who opt out by replying STOP have their phone number removed.

Data Sharing

I do not sell, trade, or share personal information with third parties beyond what is described above.

Security

I take reasonable measures to protect any stored information from unauthorized access.

Children’s Privacy

This website and App are not intended for use by children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from children.
